Japan is on Friday scheduled to release February figures for tertiary industry and March numbers for convenience store sales, highlighting a modest day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.

The tertiary industry index is expected to add 0.7 percent on month following the 1.7 percent contraction in January. Convenience store sales saw an annual jump of 4.8 percent in February.

Australia will provide import and export price indexes for the first quarter of 2012. The export price index is expected to fall 3.0 percent on quarter after shedding 1.5 percent in the previous three months.
